Christmas in a host family

Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus, the feast where family and friends come together. No one should be alone at Christmas! That is why we would like to give students at TUM who cannot travel home to their families, the opportunity to experience Christmas with a local host family (Munich, Garching and surrounding areas).

Students who would like to spend Christmas with a host family and families who would be willing to invite a student on 24.12.2020 and/or 25.12.2020:
Please contact us ( until 9.12.2020. We will gladly arrange the contacts and invite you to an afternoon of getting to know each other with punch and cookies.

To a Merry Christmas!

This event is organised by the Catholic and the Protestant University Community at the Technical University of Munich: //

To study abroad is a fascinating experience and you get to know other people and you learn a lot about different cultures. But to study abroad means to match a lot of challenges: You must manage a lot of things, e.g. handling with the feelings of home sickness and isolation, cope with the authority as well as to understand the different mentality and culture. Or there are problems in terms of job-seeking, debts etc. We offer a helping hand for international students with social and money problems – regardless of your religious confession or world view. Dates by Appointment only.
